BÉNEDICT FOËX

  • Bénédict Foëx was a full professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva from 1995 until July 2023, when he became an honorary professor of the University. His teaching notably covered property law (ownership, movable and immovable pledges, usufruct, etc.) and security law.

    He has served as Dean of the Faculty of Law and as President of both the Swiss Lawyers’ Society and the Geneva Society for Law and Legislation. In addition, he represented Switzerland in the “Security Interests” working group of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and was a member of the Swiss delegation to the Cape Town Diplomatic Conference on the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment.

    He joined the Firm in 2024 as Counsel and holder of a lawyer’s license.
